Food Bank of the Rockies in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Warehouse Operations Specialist (Temp) to support efficient warehouse operations and volunteer engagement. This cross-functional role handles food distribution, inventory support, and safety compliance.

You will coordinate volunteers, process orders, and maintain organized storage areas while upholding sanitation and safety standards. Typical hours are 40 per week, with some evenings or Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or volunteer coordination is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Store, stage, pack, rotate, and restock food products according to storage, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Keep pick locations full and organized by restocking and replenishment.
• Pull large delivery orders in priority order and verify order accuracy before distribution.
• Verify pick bins and support inventory counts; research discrepancies with Inventory team.
• Assist with product recalls and monitor compliance requirements.
• Set up volunteer work areas and activities; check in volunteers and provide orientation.
• Train volunteers on tasks, mission, and safety standards.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse and volunteer areas per standards.
