Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in Kentucky seeks a warehouse associate to perform sorting, stacking, stocking, packing, and operate cranes and forklifts to move stock and fulfill orders.

You will support machine operators, maintain equipment, train others, and contribute to health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives. A high school diploma is required; lifting up to 50 lbs, basic math, and scanning technology are needed. This is a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and use scanning technology.
• Basic computer skills and safety mindset.
• Experience with cranes or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts.
• Assist in filling and packaging orders and paperwork per instructions.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other handling equipment to move stock.
• Assist machine operators and support general warehouse activities.
• Maintain equipment and report issues immediately.

Job Summary

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation
• Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move/deliver stock
• Assist machine operators with a variety of functions as required to support the operation
• Perform general clean-up activities
• Maintain all equipment in working condition; report issues or breakdowns to Supervisor or Lead immediately
• Train others when required
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements

This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
