Job summary

Ken-Mac Metals | thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a warehouse associate to perform storage and shipping tasks for raw materials and finished goods. The role requires operating material handling equipment, assisting with orders, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The position emphasizes health and safety, Lean practices, and teamwork on the warehouse floor. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and follow standard procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and perform basic math per instructions.
• Lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Operate scanners and use basic computer skills.
• Demonstrate a safety-minded approach and follow procedures.
• Warehouse experience preferred for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Sort, stack, clean, wash, stock, and inspect cartons, pallets, or parts.
• Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Assist machine operators to support operations.
• Maintain equipment and report issues immediately.
• Train others when required.
• Support health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
• Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation.
• Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move/deliver stock
• Assist machine operators with a variety of functions as required to support the operation.
• Maintain all equipment in working condition; report issues or breakdowns to Supervisor or Lead immediately.
• Train others when required.
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
