Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Facilities Supervisor (Temp to Perm) in Santa Fe Springs, CA to manage maintenance, safety, and infrastructure. The role ensures uninterrupted lab and office operations, oversees contractors, and maintains regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage documentation, and support emergency planning while ensuring safe, compliant facility operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, fire and life safety systems, preventive maintenance programs, OSHA and environmental regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities for buildings, grounds, and infrastructure
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
• Conduct routine facility inspections and identify improvement opportunities
• Coordinate building renovations, repairs, and capital projects
• Maintain facility documentation, permits, and maintenance records
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance
• Maintain emergency equipment and spill response materials
• Coordinate hazardous waste storage and disposal activities
• Support safety inspections and audits
• Participate in emergency response and business continuity planning
• Select, schedule, and oversee external maintenance providers and contractors
• Obtain and review quotations for facility projects and services
• Verify contractor compliance with site safety requirements
• Evaluate contractor performance and quality of work
