Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. is seeking an experienced Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.

This temp-to-hire role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or integrated accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and analyses.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, banking activity, intercompany balances, fixed assets, and general ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support accounts receivable functions including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
• Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accounting records per internal policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Support tax-related reporting and compliance activities as needed.
• Monitor fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliations as applicable.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve reporting accuracy.
