Job summary

Hamilton-Ryker is seeking a 2nd shift Dispatcher in Georgetown, KY to coordinate driver schedules, communicate with customers, and ensure timely freight delivery. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Overtime and potential training may apply.

The position offers temp-to-hire prospects, with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour and benefits including weekly pay and medical options.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School diploma or GED.
7 years of stable work history.
Previous dispatch and/or logistics experience.
2–5 years customer service experience.
Automotive and/or logistics knowledge is a plus.
Must be able to multitask.
Must comply with client's substance abuse & background policy.

Responsibilities

Provide professional and courteous dispatch communications with Drivers and Customers.
Day-to-day management of assigned drivers and ensuring each day’s tasks are completed with safety considerations.
Responsible for driver retention and coaching drivers.
Front line customer engagement; troubleshoot and resolve delivery delays, breakdowns, and accidents.
Coordinate pick-up and delivery of freight in a cost-efficient manner.
Monitor routes via onboard computer to optimize service and schedules.
Respond to escalated customer calls regarding delivery concerns.
Document and report incidents and accidents; coordinate with Safety.
