Job summary

ESFM, the corporate IFM division of Compass Group USA, is seeking a temporary Maintenance Electrician in North Charleston, SC. This role focuses on operating, maintaining and repairing electrical systems within a fast-paced facilities environment.

This temporary position may convert to full-time based on business needs, with a pay range of $28.00–$33.00 per hour. A valid electrical license and certification are required, along with two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of trade school or related experience.
• Two years of experience as an electrician in a similar-sized institution in an engineering or maintenance occupation.
• Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Valid current state/local electrical license.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains electrical equipment and systems.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs and tests repairs.
• Reads blueprints and diagrams to determine materials and installation costs.
• Installs and repairs electrical fixtures, power distribution circuits, and alarm systems.
• Diagnoses electrical faults and recommends corrective actions to keep equipment operational.
• Performs preventive maintenance and safety checks on electrical systems.
