Job summary

Compass Group USA in North Charleston, SC seeks a Senior Electrician/Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, repair and install electrical systems and related equipment. The position supports customer needs with safe, efficient service and requires a Journeyman Electrical License and 5 years’ institutional maintenance experience.

Typical schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday, with weekend/night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Journeyman Electrical License.
Experience reading blueprints, specifications, or models to plan work layouts.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor as needed.

Responsibilities

Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS using a mobile device.
Reads blueprints and diagrams, determines materials needed, estimates time and material costs on installations.
Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems and related facilities.
Troubleshoots electrical systems and locates cables throughout the campus.
Responds to emergency problems and performs emergency repairs as required.
Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes tests and inspections.
