Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required for employment and must have passed a PRAXIS test, 72 college credits above 100 level, or an AA degree for paraeducator placement.
• Demonstrated flexibility, diplomacy, and cooperation; follow teacher directions; model appropriate behavior; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and assist students at the middle school/elementary level.
• Assist with recess and/or crosswalk duties; provide clerical assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned within district policies including diapering for higher pay.
• Support and promote classroom teachers and maintain a positive relationship with them.
