Job summary

Lake Oswego School District is seeking a Temporary Special Education Assistant II (SEA II) for Lake Oswego Middle School. This position runs 7 hours per day for 184 days (prorated) and offers pay of $21.77 to $29.78 per hour, depending on experience.

The SEA II role provides instructional support under teachers and supervisors, focusing on special needs students, progress documentation, and safety. Training in crisis prevention and de-escalation may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate in English fluently, both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and staff with instruction and classroom activities.
• Support students with IEP/504 plans and health needs under supervision.
• Record student progress and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Assist with supervision during school activities and field trips.
• May perform routine clerical tasks and help with materials and setup.
