Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certificate is required.
• District 11 Medication Administration Training and Health Tech Orientation are required or provided by District 11 Nurses.
• Dependable, reliable and flexible individuals are preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration and monitoring of student health needs.
• Performs minor first aid and contacts parents when indicated.
• Maintains health files and computer records (health problems, emergency numbers).
• Maintains health room log and health-related documentation (injury letters, forms).
• Assists with health screenings (vision, hearing, pediculosis) and follow-up as needed.
• Supports personal care and safety, and communication needs of students.
