Job summary

Poudre School District in Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking a health technician to support the school nurse in providing health care, first aid, medications, and related procedures for students.

You will maintain student health records, enter data into the health office log, coordinate with teachers, nurses, and parents, and assist with screenings and health services for pre-K through elementary students as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related healthcare and office experience preferred.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and school-medication administration; if not, must complete after hire.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Attend to students visiting health office, provide first aid and medications per procedures.
• Maintain health office records, immunizations, HCAPs, and referrals.
• Enter data into health office log and document actions in real time.
• Coordinate student health needs between teachers, nurses, and parents.
• Maintain health office cleanliness and inventory, order supplies.
• Prepare medications for school-sponsored trips; coordinate with nurse.
