Job summary

Poudre School District seeks a Health Office Technician to work with the school nurse to provide health care, first aid, and medication administration for students. The role includes maintaining health records, data entry, and coordinating health needs across teachers, parents, and administrators.

Responsibilities also cover preparing medications for trips, screenings, and supporting pre-K health services, with strong emphasis on documentation, compliance, and collaboration with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of healthcare and/or office experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and Administering Medication in School Setting certifications required or to be completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the school nurse to provide health care, first aid, medications, and assistance with medical procedures.
• Maintain health office records and health-related reports and documents.
• Enter data into the health office log for visits, procedures, and medications in real time.
• Coordinate student health needs between teachers, nurses, and parents.
• Prepare medications for school-sponsored trips and ensure proper delegation timing.
• Assist in maintaining health records and screenings for pre-K students when needed.
• Type correspondence, newsletters, and forms in collaboration with the school nurse.
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings and follow up on referrals.
