Job summary

Concord's Boosey & Hawkes division in New York seeks a customer service-focused licensing assistant for orchestral rental materials and licensing for North and South America. The role supports licensing, catalog assets, and front-line inquiries.

You will manage licenses to orchestras, ensembles and universities, handle calls and emails, maintain relationships with artists and librarians, and ensure timely delivery of sheet music assets in a fast-paced hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• College or conservatory degree in music, or equivalent experience in classical music.
• Minimum 1-2 years related job experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn and navigate proprietary software.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensing support for rental materials from the Boosey & Hawkes catalog for orchestras in North & South America.
• Provides front-line customer service and monitors inquiry queues.
• Assigns sheet music assets and delivers assets in a timely manner.
• Administers licenses to orchestras, ensembles and universities.
• Maintains positive relationships with music artists, librarians and presenters.
• Informs customers on issues regarding copyright and licensing.
• Works with distribution center regarding timely delivery of sheet music assets.
• Manages incoming calls and email correspondence.
• Provides database/inventory management and general departmental support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provides support in licensing rental materials from the Boosey & Hawkes catalog and agency classical music catalogs for orchestras in North & South America
• Provides front-line customer service and monitor inquiry queues
• Assigns sheet music assets and deliverables in a timely manner
• Administers licenses to orchestras, ensembles and universities
• Maintains positive relationships with music artists, librarians and presenters
• Informs customers on issues regarding copyright and licensing
• Works with distribution center regarding the timely delivery of sheet music assets
• Manages incoming calls and email correspondence
• Provides database/inventory management and general support to the department

Qualifications

What You Bring:

• Previous experience in the customer service sector
• College or conservatory degree in music, or equivalent experience in classical music required
• Minimum 1-2 years related job experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn and navigate proprietary software
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Hourly Rate: $25/hr

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
