Make a splash with customer service! The City of Pleasanton is seeking friendly, detail-oriented team member to join our aquatics team as a Recreation Leader II - Aquatics Cashier, supporting front desk operations at the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center.

Working at the front desk, youll be the welcoming first point of contact for our aquatics patrons - helping the community register for programs, answering questions, processing payments, and supporting safe facility operations.

We're Looking for Someone Who Is

• Customer service-focused and comfortable working with the public at a busy front desk.
• Able to learn and accurately use the City's computerized registration software.
• Confident handling payments and operating a cash register and credit card terminal.
• A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills with patrons, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Familiar with (or eager to learn) aquatics programs and basic aquatics facility operations.

In This Role, You Will

• Process registration requests using the City's computerized registration software system.
• Receive and record payments for program fees.
• Check in program participants prior to scheduled activities.
• Respond to program-related questions from the public (e.g., swim lesson levels, lap swim, water exercise).
• Participate in the facility Emergency Action Plan (EAP) system during emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experienced with cash handling, operating a cash register/credit card terminal, and program registration (preferred).
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable about aquatics facilities/operations—or motivated to learn quickly.

Education and Experience

Demonstrates basic understanding of program objectives, operations, supplies and needs. Demonstrates some experience and/or familiarity with program operations.

License

Possesses CPR - First Aid - AED certification.
