Job summary

City of Pleasanton is seeking a friendly Recreation Leader II - Aquatics Cashier to join the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center team. You will support front desk operations, registration, and payment processing to help the community participate in aquatics programs.

The role focuses on welcoming patrons, processing registrations, and ensuring smooth daily operations with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and comfortable with the public at a busy front desk.
• Able to learn Citywide computerized registration software.
• Confident with handling payments using cash and card terminals.
• Clear communicator with patrons, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Familiar with aquatics programs or willing to learn operations.

Responsibilities

• Process registration requests using the City's registration software.
• Receive and record payments for program fees.
• Check in program participants before activities.
• Respond to program questions about swim lessons, lap swim, or water classes.
• Participate in Emergency Action Plan (EAP) during emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
