Job summary

The City of Kodiak Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for temporary Recreation Assistants to support program operations and ensure public safety during activities. Work closely with youth, parents, and volunteers under supervision to coordinate programs and monitor facilities.

Qualifications include First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications; high school diploma or GED (HS students exempt). Prefer up to one year in related field.

Qualifications

• First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required or able to obtain.
• Up to one year of experience in related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required (high school student applicants exempt).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate programs under supervision of lead worker or Recreation Coordinator.
• Oversee participants and monitor activities and facility operations.
• Support organized group activities and games; monitor events for safety and fair play.
