Job summary

Alliant Energy Corporation seeks an Equipment Operator - Operations at the Columbia Energy Center in Pardeeville, WI. You will perform turbine, boiler, coal handling and related equipment tasks on a 12-hour rotating schedule, with day and night shifts, including potential relief coverage.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and experience in an electric generating facility; preferred is prior work as a Power Plant Assistant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an electric generating facility or equivalent industrial experience.
• Power Plant Assistant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeps turbine, boiler and coal handling equipment neat, clean and operating properly.
• Maintains station oil supply and ensures bearings are lubricated.
• Operates ash and slag handling equipment.
• Performs tests, takes readings and records data.
• Starts up, shuts down and cares for turbine and boiler auxiliaries.
