Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in an electric generating facility is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Keeps turbine, boiler and coal handling equipment neat, clean and operating properly.
• Cares for and purifies the station oil supply and keeps bearings lubricated.
• Assures that major and minor auxiliary equipment are operating properly.
• Operates ash and slag handling equipment.
• Performs tests, reads readings and records data.
• Starts up and shuts down turbine and boiler auxiliaries.
• Performs routine maintenance when not operating.
• Follows established procedures and safety practices.
