Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Monroe, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, label and transport specimens, and ensure accurate patient and test data handling. The role requires pediatric experience and offers a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement.

Schedule is Mon-Thu 9:00am–6:30pm and Fri 9:00am–1:00pm. Benefits are available. Training and OSHA/DEP compliance are required to maintain specimen integrity and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect blood samples.
• Label specimens and record maintenance data.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Verify test requisitions against labels for accuracy.
• Maintain specimen integrity and proper storage conditions.
