Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipunctures experience in fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; High School Diploma or GED obtained.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen handling per procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens; record maintenance data and decontamination.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly and courteously to patients; ensure proper specimen transport and storage.
• Verify test requisitions against samples and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
