Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a Painter to perform maintenance and repairs across the property, including wall coverings and painting work, following safety standards and policies.

The role requires 18+ years, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with shifts that include weekends and holidays. Technical training or an apprenticeship is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must obtain a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Required.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Required.
• Technical school or completed apprenticeship in similar trade Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces and systems throughout the property, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
• Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner; to include ability to operate conventional and/or airless spray equipment as required
• Prepare surface to be painted, paint and install wall covering, adjust paint to proper color as necessary, patch, tape and texture and acoustic as necessary
• Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Keep informed and updated on current technical methods
• Advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
• Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
• Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
