Job summary

Gresham-Barlow School District seeks an Educational Assistant - Middle School- Media to oversee library collections, provide library services to students and staff, and support classroom activities. The position is temporary for the 2026/2027 school year, with 7 hours per day across 185 days.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-age children in a related role.
• Education requirements listed: high school diploma or GED, higher education credentials acceptable.
• Fingerprinting and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Manage circulation and collection using the library system.
• Monitor classes visiting the media center and supervise activities.
• Process materials (labels, stamps, barcodes) for library use.
• Repair/mend library materials as needed.
• Assist students in selection and computer work.
• Train and supervise volunteers in media center upkeep.
• Represent the media center in communications with parents, parent clubs, and the public library.
