Job summary

Gresham-Barlow School District 10J seeks an Educational Assistant - Elementary/Middle - Media to oversee the school media center and provide library services to students and staff.

Responsibilities include circulation management, supervising visits, processing materials, repairing items, and assisting with computer tasks. Bilingual Spanish preferred; fingerprinting and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-age children (paid or volunteer).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Highly Qualified status: associate or higher or proven reading/writing/mathematics instruction knowledge.
• Fingerprinting and background check and First Aid/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Manage circulation and media center inventory using the automated system.
• Supervise media center visits and classroom activities.
• Process and shelve library materials; repair items as needed.
• Assist students with selecting resources and computer tasks.
• Train and supervise volunteers; liaise with parents and the public library.
