Job summary

Synergy Fiber is seeking a Temporary Low-Voltage Technician to support a commercial construction project in Tallahassee, FL. This role assists with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling and low-voltage systems while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience with structured cabling, low-voltage systems, access control, security systems, or coaxial cabling is preferred but not required.
Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, including those starting a career in the low-voltage industry.
Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools and power tools.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Pull, route, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling in commercial construction environments.
Build and organize telecommunications rooms and equipment closets.
Install cable support systems, including cable tray, ladder tray, and J-hooks.
Install and terminate structured cabling, fiber optic, and coaxial cable systems.
Install low-voltage systems, including security, CCTV, and related cabling.
Terminate RJ45 connectors, outlets, and patch panels.
Test and troubleshoot copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Follow project specifications, installation standards, and safety procedures.
