Job summary

Synergy Fiber is seeking a Temporary Low-Voltage Technician to support a commercial construction project in Tallahassee, FL. This role assists with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling and low-voltage systems while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling in commercial construction environments.
• Build and organize telecommunications rooms and equipment closets.
• Install cable support systems and cabling.
• Install and terminate structured cabling, fiber optic, and coaxial systems.
• Install low-voltage systems including security and CCTV cabling.
• Terminate RJ45 connectors, outlets, and patch panels.
• Test and troubleshoot copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Follow project specifications, installation standards, and safety procedures.
