Location: Carlsbad, CA (On-site) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Start Date: Immediate (This Week) Duration: 2 months (Strong possibility of extension or direct hire) Compensation: Up to $45/hour, based on experience

Position Overview

A well‑established Carlsbad law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Trial Support Specialist to support a senior trial attorney with two upcoming trials, one scheduled for the first week of February and a second trial set for the end of April. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role requiring someone who can immediately step in and manage trial deadlines, filings, and litigation support with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to lead trial counsel
• Draft, review, and manage motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Prepare and submit state and federal court filings
• Maintain and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and trial dates
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits and court submissions
• Coordinate with attorneys and internal staff to ensure trial readiness

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)

• 7-8 years of trial litigation experience (minimum 5 years considered)
• Strong experience with motions practice and discovery
• Hands‑on experience with state and federal court filings
• Proven expertise in court calendaring
