Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal in Vista, CA to support attorneys through trial and post-trial matters in a fast-paced litigation practice.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, strong trial support skills, and solid knowledge of state and federal court rules. This on-site role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal.
• Hands-on experience assisting attorneys through actual trial proceedings.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Proficiency with litigation support software and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Trial Director, or similar).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial and post-trial matters.
• Prepare, organize, and index trial exhibits, witness binders, and demonstrative evidence.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness outlines, trial notebooks, and courtroom logistics.
• Coordinate and manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and cite-checking as needed.
• Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Manage document review and e-discovery platforms.
• Prepare deposition summaries and assist with deposition logistics.
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court filing requirements (state and federal).
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses as needed.
• Provide on-site trial support, including attending trial as needed.
