Qualifications

• Must read and write at a level sufficient for job performance.
• Complete Lifeguard Training with Lifeguard Certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid within 14 days of hire.
• Maintain a positive, professional image of the Parks and Recreation Department and its pools.
• Ability to rescue and provide emergency First Aid to drowning persons.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of patrons in the pool facilities.
• Enforce all rules and regulations consistently.
• Coordinate emergency procedures or provide first aid/CPR during emergencies, with lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Perform maintenance/custodial tasks as required.
