Responsibilities

• Interviews clients or potential clients in the Office of the Public Defender or detention facilities.
• Determines client eligibility and refers to appropriate agencies.
• Completes confidential client profiles via interviews.
• Takes statements for use in pending litigation.
• Performs preliminary conflicts analyses and notifies when conflicts exist.
• Responds to client calls and correspondence professionally.
