Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a TEMP-Lab/Research Support for the Institute for Matter & Systems in Atlanta. The role provides support in operating and maintaining academic/research lab equipment, performing analyses, setting up and cleaning instruments, and stocking supplies.

Collaboration with faculty, staff, and students is expected; duties vary by unit needs. Responsibilities include preparing lab media, ordering supplies, and assisting with demonstrations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Up to two years of related experience.
• Experience with lab instrumentation and equipment.
• Familiarity with CAD software (Rhino/AutoCAD) and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
• Set up laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
