Maricopa County Elections is seeking a Temporary Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist to support staffing operations at the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) during the election season. The role involves moving candidates through Workday, coordinating onboarding, and ensuring hires are cleared and ready to work on time.

This fast-paced position requires strong attention to detail, ability to juggle priorities, and excellent communication in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing administrative duties in Recruitment, HR, or Elections environment.
• Experience with data tracking tools like Microsoft List and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED; a post-secondary degree may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes high volumes of job applications in Workday and monitors approvals.
• Coordinates onboarding and first-day readiness activities to ensure candidates are cleared and ready to work.
• Manages high-volume communications related to hiring status and onboarding requirements.
• Screens candidates via phone interviews and verifies position-specific qualifications and voter registration status.
• Collaborates using Microsoft Teams and maintains real-time tracking documents.
• Supports off-site recruitment activities and outreach to meet staffing needs.
• Collects and tracks recruitment data to identify process improvements.
