Job summary

Viking Fence in Texas seeks a Fence Installer- Helper to join our team. The role is full-time with a base pay of $10.00 per hour, plus potential piece-rate pay for install and pick up activities. Expect a 6-day work week with travel and on-site installation/removal of rental products.

Qualifications

• One or more years in a service-related role with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Fence Installer - Helper

Viking Fence is excited to add a full time Fence Installer- Helper . This role has tremendous upside potential as the company has grown revenue for 12+ years and continues to expand its Rental department.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Keep rental products in an ordered, logical manner.
• Ensure loads are properly secured to prevent breakage or damage.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Always make safety a priority.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• The ideal candidate will have one or more years in a service-related role with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, efficient.
• Experience operating an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, skid steers, forklift etc.
• Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• High level of composure and good stress management.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• A typical day consists of approximately 50% travel and 50% installation and removal of rental product at designated locations.
• 6 day per week shift required, with off hour availability for special events.
• This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, reaching, and bending while installing rental equipment
• Will be exposed to all types of weather on a regular basis.
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weight (up to 75 lbs.) regularly
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary.
• Base hourly pay of $10.00 per hour, with opportunity to earn more with piece rate pay for install and pick up activities.

Summary

Base rate of pay is $10.00 per hour, or piece rate, which ever is higher. Piece rate potential up to $20.00 plus per hour.
