Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fence Installer 1 to join our field team. You will prepare job sites, install and remove fences, and handle related tasks with a focus on safety and customer service.

This role involves working outdoors in varying weather and requires dependable teamwork and physical stamina. Base Pay Range is disclosed, with competitive benefits and on-the-job training. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Qualifications

• Must be able to take direction and supervision.
• Capable of handling heavy workloads to meet deadlines.
• Able to accurately complete paperwork.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of general tools and equipment (drills, power washers, post driver, banding equipment).
• Ability to lift 50–80 lb fence panels.
• Must have own transportation.
• Forklift and/or one-ton truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and take down fence and related products at customer sites.
• Complete operational paperwork (JHA reports, inventory logs, site checklists).
• Follow directions from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager.
• Navigate to sites to optimize safety and efficiency.
• Maintain safe, productive work practices and keep vehicles clean and hazard-free.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct with clients and teammates.

Job Description Summary

The Fence Installer 1 position is part of a dynamic team that are industry specialists trained to understand the security, accessibility, and image requirements of our customers. You will take direction to help prepare jobsites and use hand and power tools to prepare, remove and install all types of fences per spec requirements. As a field employee you are the face of the company and we rely on you to maintain a sense of professionalism and focus on customer service, even while under pressure to meet tight deadlines and strict security requirements. This is a physically demanding job that is mostly working outside in various weather conditions. Complete training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Job Description

• Safely setting up and taking down fence and associated products at customer sites
• Completing operational paperwork (JHA’s reports, truck inventory logs, site checklists, etc.) as directed
• Taking direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager
• Assisting in navigating to sites to ensure the crew arrives in the safest and most expedient way possible
• Working in a safe and productive manner, remaining constantly cognizant of site safety
• Ensuring workplaces and company vehicles are clean and free of garbage and hazards
• Always acting in a professional manner with fellow employees and customers
• Maintaining a professional appearance

Requirements: Skills & Experience

• Ability to take direction and supervision
• Motivation to “get the job done” even when managing a heavy workload and tight deadlines
• Ability to accurately and thoroughly complete paperwork
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• Knowledge of general tools and equipment (drills, power washers, post driver, banding equipment, etc.)
• Ability to physically handle (lift, carry, etc.) heavy fence panels (approx. 50-80 lbs.)
• Must have own transportation
• Experience operating a fork-lift and a one-ton truck preferred but not mandatory

Base Pay Range: $20.89 - 30.02

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
