Sunbelt Rentals in San Antonio is seeking a Fence Installer 1 to help prepare, install, and remove fences at customer sites, using hand and power tools. This outdoor, physically demanding role requires safety focus and customer service, even under tight deadlines.

Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist within a national equipment rental company. The position emphasizes professionalism, reliable teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and take down fence and related products at customer sites.
• Complete operational paperwork (JHA's, logs, checklists) as directed.
• Take direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager.
• Navigate to sites to ensure timely arrival and safety.
• Work safely and professionally at all times; maintain site safety.
• Keep workplaces and company vehicles clean and hazard-free.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary Position Objective:

The Fence Installer 1 position is part of a dynamic team that are industry specialists trained to understand the security, accessibility, and image requirements of our customers. You will take directions to help prepare jobsites and use hand and power tools to prepare, remove and install all types of fences per spec requirements. As a field employee you are the face of the company and we rely on you to maintain a sense of professionalism and focus on customer service, even while under pressure to meet tight deadlines and strict security requirements. This is a physically demanding job that is mostly working outside in various weather conditions. Complete training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Position Responsibilities:

• Own safety role for yourself, and other team members
• Safely set up and take down fence and associated products at customer sites
• Complete operational paperwork (JHA's reports, truck inventory logs, site checklists, etc.) as directed
• Take direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager
• Assist in navigating to sites to ensure the crew arrives in the safest and most expedient way possible
• Work in a safe and productive manner, remaining constantly cognizant of site safety
• Ensure workplaces and company vehicles are clean and free of garbage and hazards
• Act in a professional manner with fellow employees and customers
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Ability to take direction and supervision
• Motivation to "get the job done" even when managing a heavy workload and tight deadlines
• Ability to accurately and thoroughly complete paperwork
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• Knowledge of general tools and equipment (drills, power washers, post driver, banding equipment, etc.)
• Ability to physically handle (lift, carry, etc.) heavy fence panels (approx. 50-80 lbs.)
• Must have own transportation
• Experience operating a fork-lift and a one-ton truck preferred but not mandatory

Base Pay Range:

$18.99 - 27.30 Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
