Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and participate in daily food preparation and serving.
• Oversee security, storage, and handling of food and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards in the cafeteria.
• Oversee meal production and serving; assist in meal prep.
• Ensure cafeteria equipment is safe and functional.
• Accommodate students with special dietary restrictions.
• Plan quantities, orders, and supplies; manage schedules.
• Maintain payroll and personnel records; evaluate staff.
• Serve as on-site F&N resource for principals, staff, parents, students.
• Represent the F&N Department and Cedar Rapids School District positively.
• Coordinate events for community groups or district staff.
• Communicate with supervisor on personnel matters and resolutions.
• Maintain open communication with all served customers.
