Job summary

Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking a Temporary Elementary Manager for Cleveland Elementary School in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role covers supervision of cafeteria staff, meal preparation and serving, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications

Must possess positive leadership traits.
Serve as a positive team leader, mentor new employees.
Ability to manage/lead people and communicate effectively.
Knowledge of school food service program, nutritional standards, and sanitation.
Accurate and detailed oriented in processing paperwork.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Supervise employees and participate in the daily preparation and serving of food.
Oversee production and serving of meals, assist in meal preparation.
Ensure all cafeteria equipment is safe, clean and in good working order.
Comply with cleanliness, health, and safety standards in the cafeteria.
Maintain payroll and personnel records for cafeteria staff.
Coordination with principals and staff; accommodate special diets.
