Job summary

Cedar Rapids Community School District Grant Elementary School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa seeks a temporary Assistant Manager for the cafeteria. The role requires preparing meals, assisting with ordering, and acting as backup manager with responsibility for daily production records and compliance with dietary restrictions.

The position is 6.5 hours per day, 7:00am to 1:30pm, nine months, with district benefits according to the work agreement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Kitchen-related experience preferred.
• SNA – Kitchen certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare main dishes, vegetables, and menu items using standardized recipes.
• Assist with ordering quantities of food and supplies.
• Train and serve as backup manager; manage in cafeteria manager's absence.
• Maintain daily production records and participate in records keeping.
• Ensure sanitation and compliance with dietary restrictions.
