This entry-level role supports design and testing, reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications, and runs for about 18 months. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering and have basic PLC and programming experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python.
• Basic PLC programming concepts (Allen Bradley or Red Lion preferred).
• Exposure to HMI development or industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and programming automation solutions using C, C#, C++, and Python.
• Support PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Red Lion).
• Help integrate control systems with manufacturing equipment and related software.
• Assist in developing HMI screens and operator interfaces.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and validating automated systems.
• Support documentation efforts including wiring diagrams, code comments, and configuration control.
• Aid in evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to support project requirements.
• Integrate machine data with MES/SCADA/IT systems for traceability and analytics.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to develop proof-of-concept and scalable solutions.
