Job summary

Rockline Industries in Springdale, AR is seeking an Electrical Engineer I - Controls to provide design and development support for small-scale manufacturing processes. You will work on PLC/HMI programming, electrical schematics, and P&ID drawings, while coordinating with crossfunctional teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in an electrical-related field or equivalent experience, familiarity with Rockwell/AutoCAD, and basic networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical degree with four years' programming/automation experience.
• Basic knowledge of PLC/HMI/Servo/VFD programming (Rockwell platform).
• Basic knowledge of automation networks and communications (Ethernet, DeviceNet, ASi, DH+, Remote I/O).
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Strong analytical skills and exposure to project management.

Responsibilities

• Modify and write PLC/HMI/other system programs.
• Update and create electrical schematics.
• Install new basic automation on existing equipment and coordinate installation.
• Perform testing, validation, and required paperwork for new systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and lead corrective actions.
• Update and create P&ID drawings.
