Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate's Degree, or a passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with classroom teacher to implement enrichment activities for ages 3 to 7.
• Implements activities using varied materials aligned with the curriculum.
• Support self-help skills (zipping, buttoning, tying, utensils use, hygiene).
• Adheres to school-wide discipline and reporting procedures.
• Maintains a classroom climate conducive to learning.
• Works under teacher/specialist direction to support academic program.
• Fosters open communications with parents and staff.
• Supervises snack, rest, and indoor/outdoor play routines.
• Promotes personal hygiene and safety.
• Supervises bus boarding to ensure safe, belted seating.
• Participates in 10 hours of paid professional development beyond the workday.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Principal.
