Job summary

Boston Public Schools, Ellison-Parks Early Education, seeks a Surround Care Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers and help implement enrichment activities for children ages 3 to 7. Qualifications

• Two years of experience with young children is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with classroom teacher to implement enrichment activities for ages 3–7.
• Implements activities using varied materials aligned with curriculum.
• Supports self-help skills such as dressing, eating, hygiene and bathroom use.
• Adheres to school discipline and reporting procedures.
• Maintains a learning-friendly classroom climate.
• Works under teacher/specialist direction to support academic program.
• Fosters open communication with parents and staff.
• Supervises snack, rest, and indoor/outdoor play periods.
• Promotes personal hygiene and safe transport to buses; assists with bus boarding.

Education
