Georgia Tech is seeking a professional staff member to support unit management in a field such as Communications, Marketing, Customer Service, Academic Administration, Event Management, or Procurement.

Provide professional services in support of unit management in the field as specified in the particular job posting. Focus will be in a professional field such as Communications, Marketing, Customer Service, Academic Administration, Event Management, Procurement, etc. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with unit management and staff, typically advise and counsel unit management and staff, and will not supervise personnel.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Required Qualifications: Ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre‑screening; may need to work with dangerous materials or environments such as rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high‑pressure liquids and gas, and other hazardous surfaces. Lifting up to 75 pounds, working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (including climbing ladders or using scaffolding) may be required. Additional duties may include extensive after‑hours work, callback, wearing a full‑face respirator, and participation in an on‑duty rotation.
Required Experience: Up to two years of job‑related experience.
SKILLS: Application of professional principles, processes and practices; understanding of regulations; utilization of basic and advanced computer applications specific to the area of responsibility; and strong communication skills.
