Job description

Job Title: Temp Coordinator, Merchandising, Men’s

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for supporting the business strategy, buying process, allocation and distribution of Dior Men’s in the Americas Boutiques in accordance with total company strategic business plans.

Job responsibilities

Merchandising Functions:

  • Review and support the generation of weekly sales reports: Create various Excel-based reports, store and business recaps, and ensure tracking to sales targets.
  • Manage and follow up daily on product shipping and deliveries.
  • Communicate and partner closely with Retail teams to manage day-to-day product inquiries and present business updates on Retail calls.
  • Assist in buffer management, stock rebalances, and markdown preparations (recommend styles for markdown).
  • Recommend opportunities to place reorders in Men’s.
  • Support new store openings and pop-ups.
  • Manage inventory for store events.
  • Support Men’s Team on weekly/monthly sales, receipt, and stock forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the Men’s Team to effectively communicate with the Paris central merchandising team, providing feedback and outlining market needs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and needs through store visits and seasonal competitor analysis.
  • Support the Seasonal Reserve process: Create buy books, communicate and follow up with boutiques, ensure client orders are filled accurately, and strategically adjust allocations.
  • Participate and support in seasonal markets:
    • Assist in premarket analysis by store, classification, and sizing.
    • Aggregate boutique feedback before and after the collection is presented.
    • Assist in defining store assortment by product category and store cluster.
    • Size by SKU and by boutique based on analysis and boutique feedback/requests for top clients and market opportunities.
    • Maintain a positive, energetic, and organized approach while meeting tight deadlines during high-paced and demanding buying sessions.

Reporting Functions:

  • Prepare weekly reports and newsletters.
  • Prepare and review fast/slow sellers reports.
  • Prepare and review sell-through reports.
  • Prepare seasonal collection and sizing feedback for stores.
  • Provide end-of-season (EOS) product analysis and recaps.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while being detail-oriented.
  • Effective and professional communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Creative thinking when analyzing the business.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a drive for results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a self-motivated mentality.
  • Proficiency in operating all systems and retail programs necessary to perform the job.
  • Flexibility to react quickly to changing business demands; able to set priorities to maximize time effectively and efficiently.
  • Technical ability to manage merchandising software.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently solve problems.
  • Excellent time management and priority setting.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of prior Merchandising/Buying experience, luxury retail preferred; strong working knowledge of Retail Math and Retail KPIs.
  • Demonstrated interest in contemporary menswear and shifting market dynamics.
  • Availability from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with the option to work from home on Fridays.
  • Advanced Excel skills (heavy Excel workload).
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
