Job summary

Christian Dior Couture is seeking a Senior Manager, Merchandising Mens for its North American boutiques. You will lead the overarching merchandising strategy, manage the buying process, and optimize inventory and distribution across the Men’s portfolio in alignment with global plans.

The role requires 7+ years in luxury retail merchandising, advanced Excel skills, and frequent travel to international markets, including Europe.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive merchandising experience within the retail/luxury sector.
  • Deep knowledge of the men’s market, including trends and competitive landscape.
  • Advanced Excel skills for heavy financial modeling.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including international travel to Europe.

  • Collaborate with retail leadership and central teams to align on business planning and execution.
  • Manage open-to-buy strategy and financial reviews.
  • Oversee seasonal market selection and high-value market orders in Paris.
  • Own seasonal sales forecasting and financial planning.
  • Analyze weekly and seasonal sales performance against targets.
  • Oversee replenishment, lifecycle inventory, and markdown strategies.
  • Prepare EOS product analyses and executive sales reports.

Job Title: Senior Manager, Merchandising Men's

Reports to: Senior Director, Merchandising

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead the overarching business strategy, buying process, inventory allocation, and distribution across the Men’s portfolio for North American boutiques in alignment with total company strategic business plans.

Job responsibilities

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner cross-functionally with retail leadership and corporate partners to drive comprehensive business analysis, address client needs, and manage day-to-day operations
  • Serve as the primary strategic liaison with central merchandising in Paris regarding business planning, assortment strategy, and commercial execution
  • Lead open-to-buy (OTB) strategy, discussions, and financial reviews
  • Drive seasonal market selection and place high-value market orders in Paris
  • Own seasonal sales forecasting and financial planning
  • Analyze weekly and seasonal sales performance, ensuring financial targets, planned sales, and stretch goals are achieved
  • Oversee reorder strategies and lifecycle inventory management
  • Manage complex product flow and distribution strategies
  • Direct and oversee the special order process
  • Develop and propose sales incentive programs
  • Drive active management of replenishment programs
  • Conduct regular reviews of inventory consolidation opportunities to maximize margin
  • Formulate and execute markdown strategies
  • Direct the preparation and strategic review of OTB, fast/slow sellers, and sell-through reports
  • Deliver comprehensive end-of-season (EOS) product analysis and executive-level final sales reports
Profile

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strategic, innovative thinker capable of identifying macro business opportunities and translating them into commercial action
  • Agility and strong decision-making skills to react quickly to shifting market dynamics and business demands
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and an aggressive drive for results
  • Advanced technical proficiency in enterprise merchandising software and systems
  • Outstanding executive presence, interpersonal, and communication skills to influence cross-functional and global stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of progressive merchandising experience within the retail/luxury sector
  • Deep, comprehensive knowledge of the men’s market, including competitive landscape, consumer behavior, and industry trends
  • Expert-level Excel skills (heavy financial modeling and data workload)
  • Ability to travel frequently (including international travel to European headquarters and market)
  • Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office programs, with exceptional presentation design skills in PowerPoint
Additional information

The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $120,000 - $135,000 annually. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
