Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates invites a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Long-Term Care travel program in Michigan. You will support residents with daily living activities, document care, and assist nursing staff under facility policies.

The ideal candidate holds a Michigan CNA certification, is experienced in LTC, has a current AHA BLS card, and has a history of assignments lasting 13 weeks or more.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of LTC experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Active Michigan CNA certification at submission.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Successful work history with assignments lasting 13 weeks or more.
• No active disciplinary action against certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs according to care plans.
• Help residents with lifting, positioning, transferring, and transportation.
• Assist with mealtime services and document food intake.
• Deliver nutritional supplements and document intake.
• Assist with resident weighing and report weight changes.
• Monitor skin conditions and report issues.
• Assist with toileting programs and complete flow sheets.
• Communicate refusals/changes to the nurse and supervisor.
• Provide support to nurses and other staff as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) according to care plans and facility policies.
• Help residents with lifting, turning, positioning, transferring, and transportation.
• Assist with mealtime services, meal delivery, feeding, and documenting food intake.
• Deliver nutritional supplements and document intake.
• Assist with resident weighing and report significant weight changes.
• Monitor residents’ skin conditions and report pressure areas, skin breakdown, or skin tears.
• Assist nursing staff with toileting programs.
• Complete daily flow sheets and document resident progress as directed.
• Communicate resident refusals, changes in condition, and other concerns to the nurse and supervisor.
• Provide support to nurses and other staff as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of long-term care (LTC) experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous travel experience.
• Active Michigan CNA certification at the time of submission.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Successful work history demonstrating assignments or employment lasting longer than 13 weeks.
• No active disciplinary action against certification.
