Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises and movement to wheelchairs or activity areas.
• Assist residents with turning, positioning, and ambulation for short distances.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, and respiration as directed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
