Job summary
Eurofins USA Material Sciences is seeking a TEM Scientist to join our Advanced Microscopy team in California. The role focuses on hands-on analysis of materials using state-of-the-art Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), including SAED, EDS and EELS, to deliver high-quality insights for semiconductor and related industries.
The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field, has 3+ years TEM experience, and excels in communicating complex results to clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.
- Must have 3yrs+ hands-on experience in TEM analysis characterizing a variety of materials.
- Excellent understanding of the operations and principles of TEM tools.
- Expert background in electron microscopy, including TEM/STEM, SAED, 4D-STEM, EDS and EELS.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
Responsibilities
- Operate TEM tools to obtain TEM/STEM images, SAED, EDS and EELS data from samples.
- Develop TEM analysis protocols/techniques to meet clients’ requests.
- Creating summary reports to capture the project objectives, analysis data and interpretation of the results.
