Job summary
Eurofins EAG Laboratories in Milpitas, CA is seeking an experienced Materials Analyst to support advanced microscopy and materials analysis for semiconductor and related industries. The role focuses on hands-on TEM and STEM work, data collection, and producing site-specific results within client timelines.
You will perform TEM imaging, STEM/EDX and STEM/EELS analyses, develop protocols, and collaborate with customers and team members to optimize experiments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field; BS to MS level only.
- Strong operation and theory understanding of Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM).
- Experience with TEM sample preparation and hard materials characterization.
- Solid understanding of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics and failure analysis.
Responsibilities
- Obtain TEM and STEM images of prepared samples.
- Obtain STEM/EDX and STEM/EELS spectra, line scans and maps.
- Organize data and deliver summary reports to customers.
- Partner with customers and team members to optimize experiments and explain results.
- Develop TEM analysis protocols for new sample types.
