Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a TEM Analysis Engineer to perform TEM analysis on semiconductor devices, determining profiles, critical dimensions, composition and defect distribution, and to generate in-depth reports supporting tool status decisions, process adjustments, wafer disposition, and yield/cost goals.

You will work with customers and the Ops team to improve sample prep, develop TEM techniques, and lead analytical improvement projects while ensuring timely, high-quality analyses on

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a related science or engineering field.
• Experience with TEM analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processes and device physics.

Responsibilities

• Operate TEM tools to perform timely, high-quality analysis and generate in-depth reports.
• Collaborate with customers to interpret results, identify root causes, and validate countermeasures.
• Collaborate with Operations on sample quality and develop TEM prep improvements (BKM).
• Identify opportunities for analytical work improvement in terms of quality, turnaround time, and cost.
• Perform tool maintenance appropriate to role.
